Cloud Chapter Lead

The Opportunity
As a Cloud Chapter Lead you'll be accountable for the technical implementation of initiatives coming from Takeda business, after priority and budget are clearly defined by the IT Business partner. The Chapter Lead is less responsible for the execution of individual projects, but directly responsible for the development of cloud talent (mostly DevOps) in the center and the alignment of talent across agile product teams to global cloud architecture, engineering, and operations standards and principles.

Responsibilities
• Develop a service-minded chapter with strong obsession with customer delight and an alignment to Takeda’s principles and values;
• Clearly define the chapter’s people/process enabling capabilities, with a harmonized set of roles and skills;
• Clearly define the interaction and governance model for Cloud Chapter resources; Remain aligned to global DD&T governance models, ensuring reuse and standardization on the Takeda digital journey;
• Ensure Chapter resources are able to advise product teams on appropriate global SOPs related to cloud and security/compliance related requirements;
• Lead the chapter within the center as an experienced practitioner and be a role model, while both influencing and remaining aligned to the global Takeda cloud community of practice;
• Manage escalations, risks and issues related to the Cloud services delivered by the product teams or platform teams, particularly with regard to improvement of global cloud platforms and improvement of delivery.
• Clearly define and communicate demand and engagement model, particularly with regard to product/project team demand and interaction with other team members (globally and in the center);
• Create an “idle” resourcing or rotational model : allocate resources to Takeda Enterprise Cloud platform improvements when product team demand is low;

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• 8+ years’ experience building and managing technical “builder” teams;
• Proven experience with leading DevOps teams using CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring/logging tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, and AWS/GCP.
• Proven experience as a practice director in a consulting organization or a cloud architecture / engineering manager in a large enterprise;
• Proven success developing high-performing technical teams like DevOps
• Pragmatic and solutions oriented with a business value mindset: has the ability to assess various options to clarify direction in ambiguous situations;
• Highly collaborative working style, strong interpersonal capabilities and relationship building; proven ability to manage diverse client and stakeholder relationships, and to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues;
• Advanced AWS Technical certifications and experience is a strong preference & proven experience in Agile (SAFe) is a must
