Senior Analyst in Accounting – Restructuring Projects, Europe

Senior Analyst in Accounting - Restructuring Projects, Europe will secure Accounting and External Reporting related to Restructuring Projects in European region.

This is a part-time role (50%).

Main responsibilities:
  • Accounting of restructuring cost in Head Quarter in Switzerland (project team cost re-allocation, severance clearance against Balance sheet provisions
  • Process Intercompany Recharges (project team cost re-allocation, severance clearance against Balance Sheet provisions)
  • Support monthly and quarterly closing process and reporting
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation and ad hoc analysis of project cost charges
  • Provide extracts of cost center reports for restructuring projects in European region (Project Team Cost)
  • Create Master data requests (Cost centers, Profit centers, WBS, Products)
  • Deputy/Backup to line manager and other team members
  • Act as a responsible team member willing to take over additional challenges to discharge the direct line manager and secure the workload is spread evenly within the entire team

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Educational Specialization

Finance, Economics or equivalent

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in Accounting and Controlling preferably in large multi-national company
  • University degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP)
  • Knowledge of financial reporting systems (SAP / Oracle / BI), integrated systems and Microsoft Office package
  • Strong analytical capability, reporting and presenting skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter with ‘can-do’ attitude and proven track record of self-management and time management
  • Fluent English is a must
