As Senior VAT Analyst you oversee & manage all VAT compliance processes across the countries assigned to you.

Main responsibilities:

Overall VAT compliance:
  • Oversight of VAT compliance for EU region
  • Managing and design the VAT review and approval workflow Genpact/Mondelez
  • Ensure quality and legal compliance in the area of VAT
  • Approve VAT returns and other associated tax and statistical declarations
  • Manage and coordinate approval of VAT payments
  • Manage local VAT inspections and provision of VAT relevant documents to tax inspectors
  • Backup the other Senior VAT Analysts and/or the Manager Indirect Taxes EU
  • Drive for harmonization and simplification in all VAT processes
  • Monitor legal requirements (In order to ensure legal compliance in all jurisdictions throughout the responsible countries, this position requires extensive knowledge of all local VAT laws and the related accounting rules)
  • Manage and oversee processes centralized in the VAT team, such as Foreign VAT recovery, - VAT relevant material master data and special external reporting, as per local legal requirements in all MEU countries

Testing/Projects:
  • Initiate, coordinate and test necessary changes in the automated tax determination, mainly in the areas of AP, Intercompany and OtC, legislative changes
  • Coordinate and actively support on VAT matters in strategic projects

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

  • Sound knowledge of VAT in Europe, at least 3 years working experience in the area of VAT
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of SAP
  • Passionate experienced People Manager
  • Presentation and training skills within VAT
  • English language – fluent
  • Good level of MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Customer focus
  • Communication skills
