Accountabilities in this role:
• Lead the customer analytics and measurement for Tesco Online Shopping
• Develop measurement and analytical frameworks to enable the evaluation and optimisation of eCommerce marketing activities (e.g. Performance Marketing, eCoupons, Brand building, Customer propositions)
• Create models, targeting and analysis to drive a sustainable growth
• Work on creation of the incrementality analysis and attribution models of Digital Marketing channels, to understand return on investment and optimisation of Marketing activity
• Analyse the effectiveness of new proposition developments, marketing campaigns, and trading activities e.g. Free Delivery campaign, customer subscription models
• Partner with Technology and Direct to Customer Marketing team to create Online customer database 
• Introduce new automated reporting and visualisation tools, to enable self-service analysis across Digital Marketing team 
• Support the performance Marketing team in developing overall Performance Marketing strategy, campaign plan and CRM plan, acting as a key consult 
• Support the Head of Online business in creating long term eCommerce strategy, by providing analytical understanding of key drivers behind online growth metrics

Personality requirements and skills

Key qualifications required for this role:
• Higher education, preferred Maths, Science or Business based degrees
• Ideally some experience in eCommerce/digital environment. An additional training can be provided if needed. a
• Good understanding of digital marketing and eCommerce landscape
• Understanding of maximizing cost effectiveness - some understanding of business P&L is an advantage 
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL is a must.
• Knowledge of basic digital marketing landscape and tools 
• Written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment where prioritising and attention to detail are vital.
 
Skills relevant for this role:
• Time management and project co-ordination skills
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create recommendations from complex analysis and insight sources
• Previous experience within an eCommerce business is highly desirable 
• SQL, Data visualisation tools e.g. Tableau or Power BI, Database management (e.g. Hadoop), performance marketing, predictive modelling are the big advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills for cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new things
