About the Team

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can be effective leaders with functional and operational expertise. You must be a good communicator who builds trust-based relationships within the squad and among partners.

Our team is at the forefront of analytics for Reinsurance. We build reinsurance contracts related and analytical digital products and apps that focus on a wide range of topics from Wording to Natural Catastrophes, enabling the company to accurately manage our risks.

Joining us, you will learn the technologies that are used in modern data solutions with a focus on cloud technologies and distributed systems, in a collaborative environment with colleagues from Swiss Re's international offices.

About the Role:

You will collaborate closely with a team of BAs. Mentoring is also part of your role – as well as driving a digital product topic forward. As a BA, you drive requirements engineering and quality assurance of our tools and platforms. You have an entrepreneurial spirit with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset focused on achieving progress as well as an open-minded, intellectually curious approach to everything you do.

In your role you are responsible for:

-Set standards on the way BAs work in our team
-Question the current state
-Collect, maintain, and understand business requirements in collaboration with the Product Owner
-Write clear and concise requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring that requirements are unambiguous, complete, consistent and verifiable
-Submit and co-ordinate activities with central governance teams
-Optimize existing and design new user journeys
-Improve the support of our apps
-Coordinate testing activities
-Define the use of modern UI/UX
-Staying on top of emerging trends and help the organization in making informed technology decisions

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

If you possess traits and experience that match most of the below, we’d love to hear from you:
-Previous experience with business analysis or requirements engineering for a number of years
-Team leadership and/or mentoring
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with orientation to detail; ability to identify strengths and weaknesses in the business process and suggests areas of improvement
-Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience; ability to present applications / demos to stakeholders
-Ability to work with tight deadlines, prioritize and re-prioritize around changing organizational objectives and timelines
-Exposure to agile development approaches (e.g. Scrum) and familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, Confluence

Nice to have:
-Experience with Re-/Insurance in general and Business Management in particular is a plus
