About the role

Working in close collaboration with Procurement teams in Bratislava, the Procurement Manager Vendor Relationships will be responsible for the following activities in support of Swiss Re's procurement strategies.

• Develop, implement, and oversee an approach for Swiss Re to strategically manage vendor relationships and deliver greater value to the business.
• Develop and maintain a Vendor Segmentation Model for categorizing vendors based on various criteria such as priority/importance for the business, strategic value and supply risk, including managing the creation and maintenance of visual representations (risk heat maps) of vendor and supply risks to prioritize actions.
• Derive and implement a relationship model to inform and govern group procurement and business engagement with vendors according to their respective vendor segment model with the goal of improving vendor relationship outcomes and ensuring the quality of vendor relationship practices. • Engage and contribute to activities related to the broader vision and roadmap of Group Procurement, through contribute to the definition and control of specific standards for procurement and vendor relationship practices (e.g. via Targeted Standard on Procurement/Relationship Management)
• Provide training and day-today support on vendor relationship practices to Group Procurement and business stakeholders, while supporting Procurement Categories to develop, implement and operationalize vendor strategies and monitoring and tracking progress and compliance of vendor relationship activities.
• Provide support to vendors, which may include training, assistance with processes, and issue resolution pertaining to vendor performance and vendor compliance with Third Party (TP) Management requirements.
• Oversee the Vendor Annual Review process that ensures the assessment of vendor performance is managed efficiently and consistently, has a high level of integrity and uses best practices derived from Procurement and Business Owners collective experience.
• Mange the implementation of various regulatory requirements pertaining to Vendor third parties across Procurement ensuring compliance; e.g. (DORA).
• Provide the required input in Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) reports, manage operational issues and events related to vendor relationship activities, and liaise with Corporate Assurance Functions (CAFs) and as it pertains to vendor relationship activities.

About the Team

The Procurement Vendor Relationship Team focuses on developing, implementing & continual enhancement of comprehensive and differentiating approach for Vendor Relationship activities. This will ensure a strategic approach to developing and maintain vendor relationships to deliver greater value to the business.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree; or similar professional qualification.

Languages:

• Excellent English, other language desirable

Professional experience and skills required:

• (5+) years' experience indirect procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Candidate will demonstrate proficiency in executing on pragmatic solutions in collaboration with the business to advance Global Procurement priorities.
• Excellent communication skills at senior level internally and externally. • Candidate shall demonstrate behaviours consistent with Swiss Re's leadership imperatives with a focus on driving sustainable performance and continuous improvement.

Preference given to candidates with the following skills:

• (5+) years of experience in the insurance, re-insurance or financial services industry.
• CIPS or other recognized professional certifications in procurement discipline.
