Job description, responsibilities and duties

The iptiQ EMEA Claims Specialist role is a varied and interesting role covering a wide area of responsibility. Being there when a customer needs to claim is the reason iptiQ exists. As a Claims Specialist based in the Centre of Excellence in Bratislava, you will support the activities of other claims assessors based in major cities across Europe. The Claims Specialist is the first point of contact when a customer needs to claim and must ensure that vulnerable customers are dealt with empathetically and fairly. They are responsible for carrying out all claims administration tasks accurately and efficiently.

Main responsibilities:

• Support claims assessors with workflow claims management tasks from first notification to final decision and settlement.
• Manage and adjudicate claims considering medical, financial and title evidence.
• Provide excellent customer service to claimants, demonstrating strong verbal telephone and written communication skills.
• Provide appropriate answers and advice to claimant's questions using knowledge and experience you have and will continue to build up.
• Display empathy and appropriate soft skills when dealing with vulnerable customers or complaints.
• Proactively seek out process improvements and efficiencies to make iptiQ claims a "model office".
• Provide quality input to the claims journey as required, e.g. improvements to best practice standards.
• Organize team workflow to a high standard, ensuring the correct details are accurately captured.
• Adhere to risk management guidelines and practices.
• Focus on good customer outcomes for all claimants.

Requirements for the employee

English - Upper intermediate (B2) or German - Upper intermediate (B2)

• Experience in the (re)insurance industry and/or Life & Health Claims preferred.
• Empathetic approach to customers and be able to demonstrate active passion and drive for our customer centric culture.
• Consistently demonstrates curiosity, energy and interest in learning new skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A drive for information and attention to detail.
• Medical and/or clinical insights would be a bonus.
• Proficient in English and German (or another European language).
