About the Role:
As an Analytics Lab Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a team, which enables and supports Risk Consulting Analysts in performing their job function. You will be leading development and operations of the Analytics Lab capability from team management, technology, processes, and support points of view.

You will be working with the regional Risk Consulting Leads to understand requirements of their function, and design and develop tools, frameworks, and processes to meet those needs, while driving standardisation and adoption of the Analytics Lab capability. You will have end-to-end ownership of the function and its deliverables, stakeholder management, and team line management.

Your role requires close collaboration with Data Management and other IT functions to develop the capability and to integrate it with the broader landscape of tools used by Swiss Re Solutions.

This role will report to Head of Data Analytics Solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with Risk Consulting to understand their needs, and to provide tools, processes, technology, access to data, and support.
- Service and design leadership for the Analytics Lab capability.
- Contribute to the development of the Analytics Lab.
- Ensure alignment with Swiss Re data analytics standards and security requirements.
- Line management of the Analytics Lab team.

Personality requirements and skills

About You:
You enjoy the challenge of working closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other data professionals, enabling them with tools and processes, while balancing diverse requirements with the need for standardisation and operational optimisation.

- Experience supporting data analytics and data science functions with tools, technology, and processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills in an international corporate environment.
- Good understanding and hands-on experience with Azure services, including data analytics and data science tools, e.g. PowerBI, Azure Machine Learning, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and others.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
- Strong experience in building and deploying Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions on Azure.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of Insurance Domain or Financial Industry is a plus.
- Experienced working in multicultural globally distributed teams.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, who can manage their own and their team's workload.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a clear and articulate standard of written and verbal communication in complex environments.
