About the Team

The Pricing team consists of 15 colleagues based across 6 locations in Europe with expansion plans. We are responsible for the design of life & health products and the setting of customer premiums as well as ongoing monitoring and profitability reviews.

Reporting to a Head of Actuarial Portfolio Analytics, you will support iptiQ's Life and Health Pricing Team. You will support all aspects of the pricing and product development of new protection products through data analysis, portfolio monitoring and dissemination of key information.

About the Role

• Create and enhance Management Information reports
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards in Tableau on existing data storage solution based on pricing actuaries' specifications
• Manage various data sources, cleaning and shaping the available information to glean useful business insight
• Contribute to the business analysis of current open portfolios
• Investigate and develop statistical techniques to help us improve the accuracy and efficiency of our modelling
• Assist the production of existing business profitability reviews and portfolio analysis.
• Help to set-up automated tools to monitor our portfolio using data pipelines in necessary
• Create auditable documentation of the tools you create
• Collaborate with the wider teams on ad-hoc analytical and data projects
• Maintain close alignment with the Technology / Data team

Personality requirements and skills

• 1-3 years professional work experience
• Hold graduate level qualifications in a numerical and analytical field or otherwise demonstrate strong skills in these areas.
• Experience or strong interest in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, MS PowerBI, R Shiny)
• English language proficiency
• Be proficient in R or any other programming languages
• Have curiosity about Data Analytics
• Demonstrate accuracy and commitment to quality
• Show integrity and consumer awareness
• Can-do attitude and willingness to learn
• Take ownership of your work and act with responsibility and accountability
• Be flexible and able to prioritize varied demands of multiple stakeholders
• Prior experience in analytical work is advantage
• Other European languages (German, French, Spanish or Dutch) is advantage
