About the Team

Swiss Re Institute (SRI) is an important differentiating component of Swiss Re's strategy. SRI uses R&D to ensure Swiss Re's capabilities remain pioneering, to maintain underwriting excellence, and to incubate new business models, products and services. We create and deliver ground-breaking and robust technological capabilities to generate data-driven insights and best fit tech applications. Group Management is a Squad within the SRI InfoTech organisation where we deliver top of the line IT services to the Group Board of Directors, Group Executive and associated units while ensuring a stable operation of existing services.

While most of your peers and key partners will be based in Zurich with representation in Bratislava, the team is composed of an international workforce based in different locations and serving a global customer base.

About the Job

In the Group Management Squad you will be taking on the role of an InfoTech Business Analyst, both working closely with the development team and also participating in vendor solution introduction and support. Jointly we are contributing to our overall IT services for Executive Directors, the Corporate Secretariat, Corporate History and the SR Foundation. You will ensure accurate transition of the business requirements into technical specifications and implemented IT solutions. You will closely cooperate with the supporting units and their respective business leads/stakeholders. We are searching for a passionate Business Analyst for our digital platforms with strong agile business analysis skills where you can demonstrate ownership and leadership.

About You

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
-Initiating, coordinating, and leading Group Management projects in an agile organisation setup
-Supporting continued improvement of the existing Group Management application portfolio
-Helping to maintain the product backlog
-Gathering requirements with our business owners
-Abstracting requirements coming from various stakeholders, defining product business solutions and liaising with our agile teams to transform them into platform capabilities and features
-Synchronising with different platform domains to jointly design cross-domain features
-Prioritising, maintaining, and updating user stories
-Ensuring high quality of testing results
-Managing change and facilitating product demos & roadshows from time to time.

Key skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
-3+ years of experience in an InfoTech product business analyst role
-A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field is a plus
-Good track record of successful IT projects
-Experience working in agile (e.g. with SAFe, Scrum) projects using agile collaboration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)
-Quick learner and passionate about application development
-Superb communication skills, and good command of English (knowledge of German is an asset)
-Strong analytical skills and willingness to dig deep to fully understand a subject domain
-Talent for building and maintaining good working relationships with business stakeholders
-Technical knowledge in application development, IT infrastructure, IT product life cycle, and SQL would be useful
-Enjoy teamwork with the ability to take responsibility for your own workload, be self-reliant and results-oriented
-Attention to detail
-Experience with Data & Analytics a plus
