This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn about product development and pricing, core elements of life insurance business. It offers exposure and collaboration across the EMEA region.
iptiQ EMEA is part of Swiss Re's iptiQ division writing primary insurance across Europe. iptiQ is a start-up, established to deliver outstanding protection solutions sold to consumers through Distribution Partners. We are a Luxembourg based insurer with Branches in UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain and the Netherlands.
About the team
iptiQ's Insurance and Proposition team consists of around 40 colleagues based in 7 different locations across Europe. In this role, which is based in Bratislava, you will be involved in a wide variety of aspects spanning the end-to-end life insurance product lifecycle, providing you with a solid foundation for the insurance industry. The role will predominantly be focused on developing frameworks, methodology and dashboards to enable automated monitoring and reporting.
The team plays a key role in helping to foster a culture of automation, digitisation and better exploitation of data to further enable and accelerate iptiQ's growth ambitions.
In this varied role you will:
• Analyze business performance of life insurance portfolios
• Support the design and implementation of tools and metrics to monitor policy and claims information
• Create and enhance Management Information reports to share with the wider business
• Interpret customer research on life insurance product design, product literature and customers' preferences
• Manage various data sources, cleaning and shaping the available information to glean useful business insight
• Build and develop models and tools to assist with monitoring and costing processes
• Work with the wider team on ad-hoc analytical / data science projects
• Investigate and develop statistical techniques to help us improve the accuracy and efficiency of our modelling

• Have an excellent command of English – our working language
• Hold graduate level qualifications in a numerical and analytical field or otherwise demonstrate strong skills in these areas
• Be enthusiastic about understanding and working with insurance data
• Demonstrate accuracy and commitment to quality
