Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are searching for a Data Engineer who has experience in implementing robust, reliable and successful data processing solutions using Python for business processes. The main responsibility will be working on internal Swiss Re business processes which create reports to external financial regulators around the world and
contribute to the development of the GFTA Reposotiry.
ABOUT TEAM
You will join a SCRUM Team contributing to the large project, which is transforming our Group Finance department to be cloud native. The business area handles significant amounts of financial data. In your area you will be extending the current solution according to business requirements and internal technical requirements. Python with pandas library will be your toolkit to achieve the objective.
Our target landscape is the Microsoft Azure cloud. A key platform to run data processing is Azure Databricks, with integration to multiple other services, amongst which are Data Lakes and Java.

* provide support during the closing periods and assist stakeholders with data-related functional and technical issues
* participate in an agile SCRUM team
You will have:
* bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or similar disciplines
* experience with Python in data processing area using Pandas or PySpark
* eager to learn new things
* engineering mindset with focus on delivering robust solutions
