Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Corporate Solutions Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supports managing and steering the financial performance of the business unit Corporate Solutions and its regional and product management teams. We are further developing and strengthening financial steering capabilities to build robust business plans, supporting business growth and act as a strategic partner to the business.
The position is part of the Financial Planning and Steering team within Corporate Solutions' FP&A and Reporting department. We are looking for a Financial Business Steering Analyst with an entrepreneurial mind set, who continuously looks out for steering transparency, high quality analytics, financial modelling effectiveness and who supports for a variety of Corporate Solutions' business cases, special performance reports and business partners. A key element of the overall mandate is the development and delivery on increasing business demand for accurate and timely financial insights and advices to provide a basis for determining tangible underwriting actions which shall help to effectively steer our business and increase profitability. A special aspect of this role is the financial modelling and evaluation of new business cases, an appropriate life cycle monitoring and steering in case of deviations.
This position offers a unique global view across a variety of Corporate Solutions products, provides exposure to Finance leaders and business partners, and involves liaising with Corporate Solutions' Portfolio Steering and Global Strategy teams.
Your key responsibilities will include to:
· Report and challenge the financial performance (US-GAAP and in the future IFRS17) of the various product lines and strategic initiatives
· Support on investment cases and steering analytics, focusing on accurate and timely financial insights and advices
· Cross-functional stakeholder managements for initiatives
· Responsible for financial modelling and evaluation of new business cases, organising an appropriate life cycle monitoring and steering of approved cases
· Enhance financial steering capabilities by improving insightful and tangible analytics for portfolio optimisation and profitability reviews
· Produce forward looking interpretations of actual performance with cross functional inputs
· Support quarterly performance reporting of key strategic initiatives of the business unit
· Expand solution-based analytics, help develop new analyses and transition to IFRS performance management

· FP&A, controlling, business intelligence or data mining experience is an advantage

· Knowledge in VBA, Powerquery or Python is a plus
· Well-organised and structured working style, personal accountability and task ownership
