About the Role

Your specific responsibilities will include:

• You will predominantly manage assigned market data vendor relationships, related projects & initiatives and play an instrumental role in ensuring market data cost are correct; deal with requests and critical issues, identify new products & services as well as cost saving opportunities
• You will be at the forefront of Innovation & FinTech and therefore be able to shape the future of Asset Management Operations / Middle Office. You will lead a Swiss Re wide FinTech group, conduct different types of benchmarking as well as organise / host industry roundtables.
• Be responsible for market data billing as well as have detailed understanding of cost incl. drivers
• Ensure 3rd party vendors / data sets are properly set up in golden copy system
• Observe and monitor markets regarding trends, initiatives, regulatory as well as capital market infrastructure changes; foster continues dialog with non-partners, consultants, and industry associations
• Foster, steer and facilitate innovation within AM Operations / Middle Office, but also other departments jointly with senior management
• Co-lead Swiss Re's FinTech Guild - a global community where people, ideas, challenges and use cases around financial technology come together
• Host and organise industry round tables as well as conduct different kind of benchmarkings
• At some point, you may also handle relationships with Asset Management key partner banks
About the Team

We are a 3-person team located in Zurich and Bratislava and are part of Group Asset Management which is the glue between the external world and Swiss Re.
The tasks are equally distributed among all team members and it is expected to deputise your Zurich colleagues. Our team is responsible for all custodial & clearing relationships Group Asset Management needs to carry out its investment activities.
The team is also responsible for Market Data with Asset Management and is mandated to drive innovation and lead a group-wide FinTech group.

Personality requirements and skills

About You

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in either Financial Services, Securities Services or Market Data; experience in Custody or Investment Operations a plus
• Solid Market Data knowledge (vendor landscape, products, licensing agreements) as well as experience with Innovation, FinTech, Blockchain & Digital Assets a clear differentiator
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English; authentic communicator
• Strong in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to lead cross-location projects
• Very independent workstyle and ability to deliver high-quality work even under time pressure
