We are looking for an Application Support Lead to join our Security Solutions product area team.

About the Team

We design, develop and maintain software solutions for the Chief Security Officer (CSO) organization of Swiss Re. We are an agile organization with the mission to provide reliable services and first-class experiences to clients across Swiss Re group as well as our partners and B2B customer organizations.

About the Role

In this role you take responsibility for the technical ownership, maintenance, and further development of several applications of the Group Security and Operational Resilience. product area. In cooperation with other functions, such as enterprise architecture, you act as a consultant and single point of contact for our business partner. You understand their IT needs, carve out the best possible solution and implement this together with your team.

To succeed in this role, you will gain a very good understanding of our internal IT project guidelines and governance requirements and get to know systems and platforms relevant for application development and integration.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- You have a higher education degree (at least B.Sc.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another applicable field
- 8+ years of experience in the IT industry including practical experience in IT project management involving interactions with IT and business stakeholders
- Willingness to dive into the topic of physical security and business continuity management
- Solid general understanding of cyber security with a related certificate or relevant experience
- Experience interacting with IT and business stakeholders
- Adept at balancing objectives such as security, flexibility, operational stability with business objectives
- Distinct customer-orientation with the ability to win trust and maintain positive relationships
- Ability to influence and motivate others without formal authority
- Dedication to close collaboration across organizational and geographical boundaries, breaking down silos
- Good communication and presentation skills in spoken and written English
- Close teamwork across multiple locations
- Familiar with principles of DevOps and agile software development

Ideally also:
- Experience implementing SaaS based solutions or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software solutions
- Experience with cloud-based application designs
