Swiss Re will adopt IFRS in 2024 and you have an exciting and outstanding opportunity to join Investment Reporting Finance team and IFRS project!

We are looking for a highly motivated individual that strengthens our IFRS project team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end impact and implementation analysis ahead of the implementation of IFRS policies and support the development of the IFRS policy implementation impact in order to support and drive Senior Management's decision making in future reporting under IFRS.

We need a specialist with excellent understanding of Investment Subledger products and has a solid Finance background, who enjoys analyzing IFRS policies, drive investigation of new processes, help in analyzing of the investment products and systems under new rules and conditions and at final stage help with reporting of IFRS figures in new systems, at the same time enjoys working with the tools like excel and other technologies used to analyze the data.
In your role you will support impact assessment for future IFRS investment balance sheet, equity and income statement, and at the same time support various implementation topics (processes, controls, analysis and reviews) coming from new IFRS policies.

You will work closely with the Asset Management Finance team, accountants, local finance teams, and colleagues from impact assessment workstream and help us to make changes necessary either on a side of business contracts or policy in order to achieve smooth transition to IFRS.

You will be part of Group IFRS project, where we have a collaborative project environment that fosters exchange between teams and enables close interaction with the other workstreams responsible for accounting policy, implementation, financial reporting, data model and the rest of the business area leads.

About the team

The Global Investment Reporting Team is part of Finance Reinsurance and has ownership of sub-ledger accounting for investments including all valuations and related reporting deliverables.

The role will be part of the Global Investment Business Transformation Team. The team consists of Investment Accounting professionals and its main role is to closely and actively participate on Investment Subledger transformation period. Transformation phase consists from two main pillars – IETV project incl. new system architecture and IFRS project incl. new accounting policy implementation.

Personality requirements and skills

• You are passionate about projects and accounting and with a consistent track record of delivery
• You have excellent understanding of investment products
• You have solid skills in working with the tools and data analysis
• You are experienced in working in cross-functional and cross-organizational teams
• You come with 7+ years' experience in Finance, Accounting, or Audit with respective Accounting Qualification or CPA
• Significant experience in accounting and reporting with focus on investments or banking industry
• You had worked before with IFRS, US GAAP and/or local statutory principles
• You are taking personal accountability on required outcomes
• You are an excellent communicator, with outstanding organizational skills and the ability to sustain high level of work output and meet tight deadlines
• You have creative problem-solving skills, are an independent problem solver with a keen sense of pragmatism and you have good analytical skills
• You are proficient in English - verbal and written communication
