About the Team

The Life & Health Operational Excellence & Data Management team is a core global team of approximately 20 colleagues across 7 Swiss Re office locations, plus a broader network of approximately 60 colleagues in Data Management regional teams, in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

The core global team is responsible for providing expertise on Life & Health data systems and processes to ensure that timely, accurate, and consistent data is delivered to the business, to drive continuous improvement, and to implement projects and processes that allow the business to adopt innovative new technology systems and tools.

One of our team's objectives is to further develop the future vision of OpEx & DM that will drive our operational systems and technology landscape in the coming decade, so the team also needs to think strategically about the long-term implications of user requests and design changes.

Given the global reach and diversity of the team, each of the team members needs to be able to interact in an international team setting as well as be an ambassador in their location to support regional business users.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, collaborative and proactive individual to take-on an influential role with a data driven and results oriented demeanor.

- Support Data Initiatives on a global scale
- Ability to take the initiative, by collaborating and partnering with colleagues across the value chain. Key functions and departments in which you will be required to link and converse include Valuation, Pricing, Medical, Technical Accounting as well as IT.
- Communicating key achievements from the data management implementation journey to various communities by growing traditional communication channels and marketing ways
- Provision of global approaches, standards and tools to improve operational efficiency
- Sharing existing capabilities and standards across regions - and supporting the development of new capabilities where gaps are identified
- Support cross-functional communities on data-related topics
- Supporting Swiss Re's Data-Culture organisational change

Personality requirements and skills

About You:

- You are passionate about data and problem solving
- An understanding of reinsurance/insurance processes and the data flow is as plus
- You are focusing on business outcome with the ability to work under stress with multiple priorities
- Project management, agility (SCRUM, QBR, etc.) and change management knowledge is a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly to different audiences across functions and regions is a plus
- Bachelor's level qualification in any quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or engineering would be preferred
- Proficient in English
