We are looking for a Team Leader to lead a team of strong financial reporting experts for legal entities that hold other Swiss Re entities, invest into diverse portfolio of assets, or which are used as financing vehicles for other group companies. Our entities are not dealing with reinsurance business activities.

Your main responsibilities:
• Leading closing process & preparation of statutory financial statements (including reports for the Board of Directors) under IFRS or local GAAP
• Managing quarterly group reporting according to group applied accounting principles – currently US GAAP but already transitioning to IFRS - and respective analysis and reporting to the CFO's and other partners
• Contribution to and leading of strategic projects and initiatives
• Management and mitigation of financial reporting risks in line with internal control framework
• Responsibility for audit planning and coordination with internal and external auditors to conduct, review and respond to audit activities
• Individual and team development, mentoring, and performance management

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• you bring 4+ years in Accounting, Reporting, or Audit with respective Accounting Qualification, ACCA or CPA is an advantage
• have experience with leading teams, ideally in a global environment
• are expert in relevant statutory accounting and reporting policies including the preparation of annual financial statements, the audit process and respective reporting to governance bodies
• have analytical mind with the ability to deliver quality output on short deadlines and manage details without losing sight of the big picture
• you are able to communicate and present well at the senior management level
• your knowledge of SAP is advantage
• Proficient English
