Job description, responsibilities and duties

As Business Analyst in our incubator you are expected to be a subject matter expert and understand key concepts of the domain to the insurance value chain: underwriting process, rating calculations, policy servicing, billing and claims.

Your responsibilities include:
- You closely collaborate with the Product Owner. Serve as the liaison between the business and technology teams.
- Interact daily with business users, conduct analysis, and document business processes, workflow and requirements.
- Work closely with our business and technical partners to achieve an efficient and effective solution with holistic view across multiple systems.
- Verify that the solution meets the business, compliance and technical requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional requirements and specifications that have an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by the technology team(s).
- Solicit business and system requirements using walk-through, document analysis, use case scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Write clear and concise requirements. Ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent and verifiable.
- Support business and technology teams to ensure key results are met in an accurate timely manner.
- Provide business support and assist in the troubleshooting of problems and incidents; make recommendations and provide alternative solutions when applicable.

- 7 years of business analysis experience in the insurance sector
- Experienced in identifying and translating business needs into clearly defined requirements
- Experienced in documenting user stories, process flows, data flows etc.
- Plan, facilitate, and conduct requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations with business stakeholders and onsite/offshore teams
- Lead review sessions for completed business/functional requirements with key business users. Ensuring on gaining consensus and final business approval
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to provide subject matter expertise
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Ensure that proposed solutions are focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes and are consistent across products where possible
- Participate in the development and planning of the User Acceptance Testing activities, including test plans and scripts, based on requirements
- Facilitate UAT execution phase and work with business lead and project manager to obtain user acceptance test signoff.
