About the Role 

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an exciting growth environment. You will have the chance to gain a broad insight into a wide range of operational risk management activities.

Risk governance and culture responsibilities

•    Build, maintain and foster high quality relationships with local business team
•    Supports in proactively driving a risk-aware culture
•    Collaborate with Group Operational Risk Management team to deliver quality risk advice and transparency

Risk controlling, transparency and advisory responsibilities

•    Support the implementation of risk standards and risk control framework which are in compliance with Group Operational Risk Management standards
•    Assist in setting up the risk management framework and collaborates with teams in Swiss Re to ensure alignment
•    Identify top risk issues associated, assess appropriateness of the internal control environment and work with the business to develop mitigation action plans 
•    Responsible for organizing risk management discussions, meetings and committees 
•    Support monitoring and oversight on the operational risk exposures 
•    Responsible for engaging with the business to identify, mitigate and report on operational issues and event. Facilitate the risk owners to perform RCSA process.
•    Review and Create Controls in the Group Risk and Control Register

Coordinates regular reporting

•    Support preparation of the Operational Risk Reporting for iptiQ Management Team
•    Responsible for co-ordination of quarterly certification report 
•    Responsible for the reporting of Operational Risk Management for the iptiQ Technology and Operations Forum as well as other forums.
•    Collaborate with the Group Operational Risk Management team to deliver quality risk report (e.g. Group Risk Register) and advise

Takes ownership to add the risks for the insurance business to the risk matrix of the entity.

•    You are passionate about working in the fast-paced environment of a young insurance company committed to the digitalization of insurance business
•    You are an independent and critical thinker, willing to challenge constructively, with a can-do-attitude, curious and keen to learn.
•    You bring excellent delivery skills, work diligently, assume responsibility for your own work and manage timelines adequately and independently
•    You have 5 years of experience in operational risk management in a Financial institution with solid general knowledge/experience in Risk Management
•    You have an understanding of business processes in Primary Insurance Business
•    You are an analytical person, able to handle ambiguity, embrace change and you are eager to learn
•    As a strong communicator, you have the ability to seamlessly interact with colleagues across functions, across locations and on all levels
•    Your English is excellent, other European languages are helpful
