About the Role

We are looking for an experienced UX Researcher to join our team. You will be responsible for helping define and drive the future of our Reinsurance Property & Casualty as well as Life & Health digital products. Ultimately, you will make our internal (Reinsurance core business) & external (B2B as well as B2C) products more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain users & customers across the globe – and helping them address some of the world's most urgent challenges. The product portfolio of Reinsurance Property & Casualty and Life & Health consists of approx. +150 web and mobile apps supporting all business functions such as Sales, Underwriting and Claims Management. In addition, we are supporting the innovation team in exploring new solutions in the space of Internet of Things (IoT), Telematics, Automotive, Smart Home, Cyber and Advanced Analytics.

In your role as UX Researcher you will reveal what our users need from our products by conducting user research, working with cross-functional teams, and performing usability studies. These responsibilities also include inspiring change, challenging status quo, delivering oral and written presentations, evaluating qualitative and quantitative data, and helping the Product Design & User Experience team better understand what would make a user’s experience more intuitive, accessible, and flawless.

You will also be comfortable working with data, from gathering and analysis through to design and presentation. More specifically, you’ll get to:

Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies.
Create hypotheses, set research objectives, and reach unbiased conclusions
Conduct and evaluate quantitative and qualitative research
Validate assumptions that will guide the product team’s designs
Discover patterns and insights through focus groups, interviews, surveys, field studies, card sorting, journey mapping, testing, and more
Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate research topics
Work closely with designers and developers to turn user data into actionable product/service requirements that feed into prototype development, and influence product direction.
Assist the product team in making design decisions that directly impact ROI
Keep the product design team on track by focusing on specific goals through user research objectives
Research personas and investigate behavior
Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations.
Ask questions, gather data, and analyze data.
Promote user centered design principles and best practice across the organisation.


The job location is Zurich, Switzerland and Bratislava, Slovakia.

Requirements for the employee

Language skills

Personality requirements and skills

Minimum 3 years professional experience as UX Researcher or similar role
Bachelor or Master degree in a human behavior related field (or equivalent and proven work experience)
Experience with conducting user research and user interviews
Experience with qualitative and user-centered design methodologies
Solid understanding of quantitative, behavioral analysis and statistics
Experience with remote testing tools
Experience analysing both quantitative and qualitative data to produce UX artefacts
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and act as a strategic partner in product decisions
Ability to clearly communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams, partners and clients
Ability to effectively share research results
Ability to perform all research-related tasks including research, planning, evaluating, and iteration
Ability to formulate specific, answerable, and practical questions
In-depth understanding of UI design
Experience with applying Design Thinking methods.
Great Interpersonal and communication skills, confident working with individuals at all levels
Good spoken and written English is a must, German is an advantage
An understanding of reinsurance and/or insurance is a plus
