Job description, responsibilities and duties

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Finance Professional in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in iptiQ EMEA L&H. Working closely with the Sales, Pricing, Valuation and Accounting teams, amongst many others and exposure to senior stakeholders within the Business Unit. The FP&A Volumes Specialist will have numerous responsibilities for day-to-day financial controlling, such as forecasting, planning and reporting, analytics and commentaries for iptiQ EMEA Life & Health.

You will preferably be based in Bratislava, but we will consider candidates in other European cities that we operate from.

Main tasks/activities (in brief statements describe the main accountabilities of the job)

• Ownership and coordination of end-to-end analyses of weekly sales reports, monthly Volume plan and quarterly KPI's
• Maintain and develop our Volumes Database file (excel based)
• Ad-hoc reporting for business customers, esp. reconciliation analyses.
• Monthly Management Report.
• Assist the FP&A EVM Specialist lead with Economic Valuation Framework (EVM) (no prior knowledge required) & US GAAP results when required.
• Own Volumes planning and analysis in coordination with key function holders and related entities within Group
• Perform quality and consistency checks to ensure a high quality of your deliverables and outputs
• Support the Head of FP&A LH and FP&A team by providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis to all relevant stakeholders
• Establishing reliable and efficient processes, drive operational excellence to improve quality and reduce operational risk
• Support in providing both standard and ad-hoc analysis and presentations
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as required

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• You should have experience in working in a financial services environment
• Advanced MS Excel modelling skills and VBA programming highly desired
• You will have a University degree in Economics, Science, Accounting or Business Administration
• Experience in a FP&A role is an advantage
• Experience of finance systems
• Strong in problem solving and analysis
• Structured working style and the attention to detail
• Excellent personal time management, prioritization and deadline adherence
• Team-player, willingness to contribute actively and showing a high degree of own initiative
• You have a strong understanding of the L&H insurance / reinsurance sector, preferably with a direct insurer of L&H risk products
• You identify and drive continuous improvement in processes, systems and outputs.
• Confident communication with senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to work with data and systems to apply good business judgement as well as independently deliver timely and impactful outputs
• Excellent command of the English language
