Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Support the team in setting up the IT infrastructure and preparing data in order to fulfil the regulatory requirement on Solvency II reporting
• Be available for our finance business partners during the quarterly and annual submission cycles for any kind of user requests
• Support major Finance IT projects / programs as a knowledge holder for Solvency II
• Engage with our finance peers to analyze the need and possibility of improving and automatize existing processes and systems
• Support the implementation of change requests starting with collecting requirements, writing concepts, support implementation, testing, roll out and finally productive support
• Be part of a team with friendly atmosphere and willingness to help each other

What will you learn

Join our energetic Solvency II Business Analysis team based in Bratislava and gain valuable experience in an interface of finance and IT. In this role, you will be exposed to the IT infrastructure- and system landscape, the Swiss Re organization with a European wide Solvency II team and their distributed responsibilities.

We will support you to build up a deep knowledge not only in Solvency II and its submission process, but also you will have an opportunity to understand the reinsurance business´s big picture.

You will have a chance to showcase and improve your communication skills and ability to simplify complex topics. Since our team is and will be involved in projects, you will get a chance to gain / sharpen your projects skills.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree in Finance or Economics or IT
• Strong willingness to further deep dive into reporting or accounting standard
• IT/ Technical affinity
• Good communication skills, good team mate
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with business counterparts
• Experience in writing and running SQL and experienced Excel know-how is a plus
• First business analyst experience or experience in financial services industry is a plus
• Knowledge of Solvency II of other reporting standards is a plus
