Job description, responsibilities and duties

As Senior Finance Professional you will be responsible for reconciliation and reporting of financial instruments for our legal entities under Economic Value Management (EVM).
Never heard about it? EVM is a unique valuation founded by Swiss Re to accurately reflect the Market Valuation of our Assets and Liabilities. If you would like to be a part of our EVM team then here is the right place to apply.

Main duties:
• You will perform monthly reconciliation of financial products for Swiss Re owned legal entities including the maintenance of the investment sub-ledgers.
• You will reconcile our financial products, such as bonds, equities, loans, collective investments, private equities, derivatives and debt.
• After the reconciliation, you will verify and distribute monthly and quarterly reports to our internal clients within Asset Management Finance and Business divisions
• You will control that financial instruments are accurately reported based on respective EVM accounting standards and EVM methodology
• During the quarter end, your role is as well to do the analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement movements which is then presented to Business Divisions
• You should as well utilize the investment system as well as other various software applications, such as Business Object reporting system and Excel spreadsheets to prepare and review group investment reports.
• You will build the partnership with internal clients and respond to ad-hoc queries on time
• You will find out more about the EVM components
• As a member of our team, you will as well assist with special projects related to EVM and others

Personality requirements and skills

• You have a university degree in Economics, preferably Accounting or Finance/Banking
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in finance
• You speak English fluently
• Your MS Office skills are on proficient level (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point)
• You have strong analytical and conceptual thinking
• Your knowledge of investment reporting and accounting systems is an advantage
• You are a person who enjoys working in the team
• You have great time management skills and adherence to deadlines
• You are flexible and open for new tasks/challenges & you are willing to learn permanently
• You have the ability to work independently without close supervision
• You are good with verbal and written business communication
