About the role

We are looking for financial professional to join our global team of Divisional Cost Partners based in Bratislava.

As Financial Analyst you will be supporting and driving the direct and full cost planning, reporting and projection processes within Reinsurance in close cooperation with the cost centre heads, Divisional Operations Officers and Division Heads / CFOs for your area of responsibility within the Cost Management Team.

Standard tasks include aggregation, structuring, analysis and commenting of cost data. Building on that, the role includes the constructive challenging of cost budgeting and cost management with Reinsurance Divisions as well as close partnering with the counterparts on a Group level.

Your main responsibilities:

- Support annual direct and full cost planning and alignment processes for two Reinsurance Divisions
- Provide monthly direct cost actuals reports, run quarterly direct cost projection processes
- Provide services to internal customers (ad-hoc analyses, presentations, stakeholder consulting in cost planning and management)
- Manage and align cost relevant Master Data with a view to continuous optimization of processes and providing relevant information to support managerial decision-making
- Perform value added analysis to enhance transparency and to create productivity
- Become a specialist in the multiple systems being leveraged for cost transparency
- Participate in various projects as it relates to cost analysis, systems and processes, including analysis at the consolidated Business Unit Reinsurance level as needed

About the Team

Reinsurance Cost Management is within the FP&A department within Finance Reinsurance. The team is a global team with staff in Hong Kong, Americas, Zurich and Bratislava. The team is organized into three distinct areas: Consolidated BU RE reporting and analysis, BU RE allocations and Divisional Cost Partners who are responsible for partnering with the divisional DOOs and department heads. The team mandate is to provide transparency and analysis on direct, indirect, full costs and US GAAP expenses to our stakeholders. We develop and execute expenses plans, forecasts, and performance assessments. We interact with a number of stakeholder teams in a cross functional environment.

- University degree or diploma in controlling/finance or equivalent
- At least 5 of experience in related field
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment. Be flexible.

- Ability to deal with confidential and/or highly sensitive data
- Ability to work in a virtual global team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in delivery
- Stature and confidence to interact and partner at Senior Management level
- Excellent social skills (communication – both written and verbal, leadership, persuasiveness, team orientation)
- Ability to work independently and make decisions/priorities in the face of complexity, conflicting pressures and ambiguous circumstances
- Very strong PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
- Excellent command of the English language
