Job description, responsibilities and duties

We, in the Corporate Solutions Branch Controlling Team support legal entity and branch accounting, controlling and reporting activities. Further, we ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements.

Each team member has assigned 3-5 branches. We have complex financial overview about the assigned branches.

We are searching for new colleagues to become a part of our team.

Main tasks:
- Closing activities including mainly accounting tasks and various analysis
- Preparation of quarterly results presentations to senior management, including providing of comprehensive financial and variance analysis and business commentaries
- Preparation of qualitative reporting for internal clients as well as reporting to regulatory bodies on local accounting standards
- Closing activities on a quarterly basis including accounting tasks, controlling and reporting activities
- Supporting senior colleagues
- Contribute to improve processes and systems to ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements, and also to meet internal management expectations
- Establish a network and closely collaborate with the respective professionals across the organization
- This position includes app. 40 % accounting tasks, remaining part is reporting, controlling and financial analysis

About the Team

We in the Corporate Solutions Branch Controlling Team are responsible for supporting the branches of Swiss Re with accounting, controlling, reporting activities and financial analysis. Each team member has a complex financial overview about assigned branches. We cooperate with Finance managers, Branch managers, Tax department and Auditors.

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- Minimum two years of work experience in complex accounting/financial reporting
- University degree or qualification in Finance
- Understanding of financial reporting processes
- Proven PC skills, including MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Power Query and Power BI is an advantage
- Analytical thinking
- Solution-seeker
- Team player with good communication and presentation skills
- Fluent English
