About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Accountant to contribute to developing this new business activity and be part of our success story.
As a member of our team, you will support the financial reporting and analysis of the company's business activities, mainly on statutory (Luxembourg GAAP) and Group (US GAAP).

In this role, you will support the following processes for the new insurance carrier:
1) Execution of reporting process:
• Quarterly US GAAP closing and reporting deliverables for Group reporting purposes, and
• Quarterly management accounts and annual accounts in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP (fairly close to IFRS).
2) Ensure that we execute on high-quality, robust processes for all reporting deliverables, in line with existing Swiss Re processes and deliverables for our already well established carriers.
3) Provide comprehensive financial variance analysis and business commentaries in the course of reporting, monitoring and reconciliation activities.
4) Support audit activities and prepare requested information in connection with internal audit, external audit and other external parties, like regulators or other governmental institutions.
5) Contribute to improvement of processes and systems to ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements, and also to meet internal management expectations.
6) Establish a network and closely collaborate with the respective professionals across the organization. The position acts with a high degree of autonomy and discretion within the delegated authority.
7) Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by your line manager or senior management.

About the Team
You will be a member of the Carrier Reporting & Analysis team located in Bratislava, closely cooperating with newly created team within the EMEA Finance Accounting & Reporting department.

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

English - Upper intermediate (B2)
