Job description, responsibilities and duties

Together with other Business Analyst colleagues, you will be working as an expert Business Analyst closely collaborating on our application development. Jointly we are contributing to our overall IT services for Executive Directors, the Corporate Secretariat, Corporate History, the SR Foundation and the SR Institute. You will ensure accurate transition of the business requirements into technical specifications and implemented IT solutions. You will act as the main contact for our dedicated business users and you will closely cooperate with the supporting units and their respective business leads/stakeholders. We are working in an agile project setup where you will be able to fully drive and steer your initiatives and projects, e.g. in a scrum master role.

In your role you are responsible to:
- Initiate, coordinate and lead Group Management projects and related tasks
- Gather requirements in a user centric approach
- Derive layout/design and specification documentation as needed for project execution
- Tightly collaborate with the development team
- Ensure high quality of testing execution
- Have regular contact with business stakeholders
- Participate or drive innovative technology research
- Facilitate product demos & roadshows from time to time.

About the Team

We are a small IT team of business analysts and developers. We are forward-thinking and like developing innovative and modern applications, using frontend and backend technology, also running on mobile devices. On the other hand, we are introducing and supporting various vendor products. The team is located in Zurich/Adliswil, with representation in the Bratislava office and is collaborating with external partners around the globe. There is the possibility to travel to Switzerland from time to time. On the other side, the team is connected through virtual collaboration means with good home office possibilities as well.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Personality requirements and skills

Key skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- 4+ years of experience as an IT business analyst
a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field is a plus
- Good track record of successful IT projects
- Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with business stakeholders
- Experience in design thinking / user centric design
- Familiar with the Scrum framework and tools, e.g. Jira.
- Technical knowledge in application development, IT infrastructure and SQL is a plus
- Experience in use of cloud services and setup
- Quick learner and passionate about application development
- Good communication, and good command of English (knowledge of German is an asset)
- Strong analytical skills and willingness to fully understand a subject domain
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Enjoy teamwork with the ability to take responsibility, be self-reliant and results-oriented
