As Senior Process Control Analyst you will be able to do all of that! As part of the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Global Controlling team, you will play a key role supporting Finance Corporate Solutions management in development and strengthening risk and controls environment. In addition, you will contribute in initiatives and projects - this will include the roll-out of the new CorFiT financial accounting and reporting system.

You will interact frequently with a number of key partners, including CorFit TOM team and Corporate Solutions Finance teams, Risk Management, Auditors and other (Finance) functions.

You will have a chance to work in a motivated and experienced team in a fast-paced environment, you will gain insights into various aspects of Corporate Solutions' business.

This is a temporary position until September 2020.

Main responsibilities
• Support development and enhancement of internal control framework and risk indicators
• Identify, monitor and report risks. Ensure control framework is kept current and followed consistently throughout Finance Corporate Solutions
• Monitor Finance Corporate Solutions open issues and ensure timely resolution and closure
• Support Operational Incident reporting within Finance Corporate Solutions and produce regular reports
• Support Risk and Control Self-Assessment process
• Support team in maintaining End User Application (EUA) listing and ensure that controls surrounding EUAs are compliant with Swiss Re policies
• Support Financial Risk Reporting (FRR) for US GAAP and EVM within Finance Corporate Solutions including development and/or enhancement of processes and controls
• Responsible for preparing and coordinating annual end-end FRR process review for Corporate Solutions
• Primary responsibility for Records Retention within Finance Corporate Solutions
• Participate in and support projects impacting Finance Corporate Solutions, providing expertise in areas that impact the process and controls environment and continuously evaluating any risk to the group associated with the project
• Support integration activities with regards to acquisitions
• Any other ad hoc tasks as required from time to time

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree in Finance or Accounting
• Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS would be an asset
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a role relevant for this position
• Insurance or reinsurance accounting experience desirable
• Experience in working in a complex process environment required and cross-functional teams
• Experience in audit of internal control assessments or previous experience in assessing financial controls, operational risk management or related areas preferred
• Experience in internal control development, process management and risk management
• Excellent interpersonal skills (team player) and ability to work in team environment as well as independently
• Strong communication skills (both Slovak and English)
• High level of abstraction, fast understanding and conceptual thinking, the ability to handle both conceptual and practical issues
• Excellent comprehension, analytical and process management skills
• Ability to frame problems and solutions quickly
• Desire to build up knowledge spanning various disciplines
