Join our growing team in Slovakia and the CEE region as Senior State Aid Professional. You will work in a dynamic and interesting environment in the area of consulting; participating on interesting investment projects and providing advisory services for public authorities.

Your expertise as a senior consultant will be instrumental in crafting persuasive proposals on behalf of our clients and providing a support to other colleagues within the following:

Your expertise as a senior consultant will be instrumental in crafting persuasive proposals on behalf of our clients and providing a support to other colleagues within the following:
PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Application of European State Aid rules (GBER, CEEAG, Regional Aid Guidelines)
- Drafting application forms (IPCEI, Innovation Fund, LIFE, CEF, Recovery and Resilience Plan, ESIF etc.)
- Preparing a state aid scheme(s) and understanding of the legal and timing implications
- Preparing materials for notification to the European Commission
- Drafting calls for proposals, considering the typical components of the calls for - proposals, such as defining the scope, objectives, eligibility criteria, selection criteria, intensity aid, etc. and elaborating support guidelines for beneficiaries
- Fulfilling reporting and monitoring project obligations
- Providing advisory services to public authorities
- Organizing and leading of project meetings with state authorities and clients
- Analyzing data and data management
- Identifying and making suggestions for improvements when problems and/or opportunities arise
- Seeking new opportunities and interfacing with colleagues from the PwC network

Must haves to qualify for the job
Nice to have
- University degree - economics, law, finance, but other degrees would be also considered as well
- Understanding of european and national State Aid legislation
- Fluent English (both written & oral); knowledge of other language is beneficial
- Analytical thinking and problem solving; proactive approach
- Good presentation skills and experience with leading projects meetings
- Willingness to work in consulting business
- Powerpoint and Excel skills
Nice to have
- Development/ design of various financial instruments, deployment of financial instruments, product development of energy efficiency financial instruments co-financed by ESIF/EIB etc.
- ESG area of expertise
- Project financial modeling
