Job description, responsibilities and duties

Technical center in Lozorno is the main engineering center in Central Europe for the Exterior Business Group. We are developing brand new products for our premium customers. As part of the technical center, you will be working among international teams of engineers specialized in manufacturing processes, in design, in technical purchasing and various other technical functions. As geometry engineer you will support development activities linked to validation and geometry engineering of products with regards to project planning and defined specifications.

Your main tasks will be to:
• Perform measurements 1D, 2D, 3D in accordance with project measurement plans, ensuring compliance with OPmobility and customer measurement methods and provides measurement reports and analysis with aim to drive project choice in geometry convergence.
• Estimates the budget (hours + costs) needed on global geometry scenario to ensure convergence on a project and submit to his manager for validation.
• Defines and validates measurement scenario in accordance with customer and project expectations.
• Manages follow-up & validation of supplier Checking Fixtures studies in accordance with project team.
• Manages measurement flow and the storage of parts & Checking Fixtures within the metrology department.
• Participates to the Trial Preparation Meetings and launches mandatory actions issued from it.
• Validates tolerance commitment in RFQ with PLE and defines measurement concept.
• Validates the content of the Geometry Folder created by the Design Leader or the EPM.
• Leads the Geometry Folder definition for complex and innovative projects.
• Consolidates the dimensional production capabilities from the plant to improve tolerance calculation tools.

Our recruitment process:
1️⃣ In the first instance, you will be contacted by Hana, our HR specialist or Martina, our HR support for a phone call of approximately 15 minutes.
2️⃣ Once you have passed the first stage, you will be invited to a first interview with Hana and your future manager to discuss the position, the company and your career path in more detail. This interview can be done remotely.
3️⃣ And finally, a second and final face-to-face interview with your future manager and the HR manager of the site to continue the discussion and to answer all your questions. A role-play can be performed during this interview.

• University degree (technical, engineering field)
• minimum 3 years of experience in pre-serial phase, in automotive industry
• Experience with geometry measurements and checking fixtures
• Experience with communicating with suppliers
• English – advanced
• Logical thinking and understanding of shape, size, relative position of figures in a 3D environment, properties of space ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Technical thinking, pro-active approach
• Willingness to travel
