Job description, responsibilities and duties
Technical centre in Lozorno is the main engineering centre in Central Europe for the Intelligent Exterior Systems Division. We are developing here brand new products for our premium customers worldwide (car bumpers, roof spoilers, tailgates...).
As Senior CAD Engineer, you will design and draw technical solutions of plastic parts. Among that you will coordinate all CAD related tasks on the assigned project.
Your main tasks will be:
• Draw CAD files (sketches, sections, partial models, global models, overall dimensions, tooling/assembly kinematics)
• Manage the incoming and outgoing CAD file flow with our customer and suppliers
• Update attributes of parts in database (volume, theoretical weight, projected area, painted area)
• Update models based on technical feasibility studies
• As a main contact person work closely with project team - Engineering Project Manager (EPM), Design Leader (DL) and extended teams (tooling expert, moldflow engineer, CAE engineer..)
- organise CAD kick-off meetings, internal CAD design reviews, participates in engineering design reviews, organizes weekly project meetings, report the project status
• Coordinate daily meetings with the CAD project team, distribute the tasks and manage the project task lists together with DL
• Be responsible for quality of project data, its compliance with design rules and deliveries on time
• Make sure the parts designed (by colleagues, supplier, customer) do not interfere with surrounding components and can be assembled as foreseen
• Together with DL, manage the structure of EDI and internal data management systems
• Participate in integration of new CAD engineers
