Job description, responsibilities and duties
Plastic Omnium Technical center in Lozorno is the main engineering center in Central Europe for the Division Auto Exterior. We are developping brand new products, for our premium customers (JLR, VW, Porsche..).
As a packaging engineer, your main missions will be to work on the projects in pre-serial phase:
- take part in the functional specifications elaboration for semi-finished packaging means and final packaging from the customer specification, the industrial organization in collaboration with the Process Project Managers and Logistics specialists.
- conceive the packaging processes from functional specification.
- take part in the packaging means specification elaboration and follow-up.
- make supplier consultations in exploratory phase (expertise preparation).
- establish the technical-economical reviews to propose better solutions
- develop and realize (durable) packaging like boxes or palets w/o inserts; metalic racks; trolleyes; transtockers; work in progres - universal structures; JIS/JIT palets or (cardboard/paper ) packaging which fit internal/externa customer expectation
- provide a technical validation in the negotiation of purchase.
- support the plant during the phase of start of production and the ramp-up.
