Job description, responsibilities and duties

Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) is where you’ll integrate our end-to-end demand-driven supply chain. Working “from farm to shelf,” you’ll connect plants with customers to deliver best-in-class service in the most efficient way. Your goal will be to have the right products, at the right time, and with the right quantity and quality on the shelf.

Your responsibilities as Transportation Manager will include but will not be limited to:
  • Specifies Global Transportation processes and tools, and leads assessment and improvement agenda to drive world class service, cash, and cost performance.
  • Contributes to determine the best Transportation Management Systems (TMS) solutions, working in close cooperation with IS partners and Region, BU Log Ops experts.
  • Leads Benchmarking and Key Metrics Comparisons for Transportation across the company. Develops and maintains the appropriate set of internal benchmarks for key metrics. Utilizes comparison of key metrics and key drivers to identify opportunities for process improvement and to quantify the size of the opportunity vs. gold standard, both internally and externally.
  • Collaborates with the regions in establishing proper transportation contract definition. Together with procurement develops the segmented approach to 3rd party relationships for transportation that recognizes the business need, maturity of the business and capability of our 3rd party partner.
  • Participates in Cross-Region Collaboration Networks for Transportation (Horizontal Network Teams). Provides appropriate direction and guidance for the Region and BU Log Ops resources. Participates in regular cross-region collaboration networks that provide an opportunity for sharing best practices, and identifying gold standard processes and practices that can be replicated across regions.

  • Bachelor degree-required, Masters Preferred
  • Min. 10 years of General/Basic Background in Logistics
  • Fair combination of Field and HQ experience in Distribution and Transportation
  • Project Management mastery required
  • Experience in a customer facing experience would be very helpful and external industry experience and contacts desirable
Strategic thinking plus excellent presentation, communication, influencing and motivational skills
