Sustainability Manager

You are passionate about Sustainability and want to help taking LEDVANCES's global Sustainability strategy to the next level by incorporating it as an integral part of our values and daily business?

As Sustainability Manager you will be responsible for:
• Supporting the implementation of the company’s global Sustainability strategy;
• Coordinating the yearly target setting process and the environmental data collection related to waste, water, energy, and carbon footprint incl. ensuring the accuracy of the provided information;
• Tracking all Sustainability KPIs and reporting progress to the Sustainability Steering Committee and the leadership team;
• Ensuring the agreed and planned Sustainability related actions are based on verified facts and in line with updated sciences;
• Supporting sales and marketing activities and responding to all customer requests regarding Sustainability;
• Supporting the supply chain team to engage suppliers in the Sustainability roadmap;
• Monitoring improvement actions based on yearly assessment and/or audit (ISO 14001);
• Monitoring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks as well as the ongoing development of Sustainability reporting (CSRD, Taxonomy, etc.);
• Being responsible for the creation of the annual Sustainability report based on GRI standards and verified by the external auditor;
• Supporting internal Sustainability communication activities;
• Performing assessments and external reporting obligations (e. g. EcoVadis, CDP, Global Compact);
• Handling and supporting the internal Sustainability tool;
• Performing Sustainability trainings;
• Driving local sustainability projects and supporting their implementation.

You are an open-minded, curious person who excels in strategic and analytical thinking? You also like to work independently and score points with your interface partners through authenticity, persuasiveness, and expertise? The ability to combine ecological, responsible, and business-oriented thinking and acting rounds off your profile.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
• A degree in a sustainability related field, in law or a comparable education
• Several years of professional experience in the field of sustainability and/or compliance (Experience in a multi-national environment is an advantage)
• Expertise in sustainability (SDGs, Carbon accounting, GRI, ESG, Environmental management)
• Good knowledge of analytical methods as well as benchmarking
• Know-how in project management and stakeholder management
• Experience in the field of reporting company GHG emissions as well as in sustainability reporting in general
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Fluency in English, knowledge of German language will be a plus
