Job Description

Very close collaboration with HZI AG Group Finance/Accounting team:

  • Reporting support (actuals, budget/forecast, cash, FTE, order intake):
  • Act as the main contact for designated HZI entities
  • Actively assist HZI entities in technical and professional requests
  • Review and ensure high quality monthly reporting. Reporting in Tagetik
  • Hitachi Zosen Corporation Group reporting Japan: quarterly and annual group reporting of HZI Group entities.
  • IFRS standalone consolidated financial statements (incl. notes) of HZI AG
  • Respective financial statements of HZI entity according to local GAAP
  • Coordination and Organization of external financial audits/reviews for designated HZI entities
  • of HZI Group consolidation
  • Handling and supervision of HZI intercompany reconciliation process
  • Onboard, support, and train new finance employees within the Group to ensure compliance with internal rules and regulations
  • Accounting Guidelines
  • Supervision, application and adaption of Hitachi Zosen Inova Group accounting principles.
  • Contact person for accounting topics (e.g. lease, revenue over time, …)
  • Support of Inova entities in budget and forecast process
  • Support/plan/implement new developments of ERP systems

Other:

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Help identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Support in the development and maintenance of budgeting and forecasting models. Assist in the compilation of departmental budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

Internal Controls and Compliance: Aid in ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain data integrity.

Financial Operations: Participate in day-to-day financial operations, such as accounts payable/receivable management, payroll processing, and expense tracking. Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial issues and streamline processes.

Financial Planning and Strategy: Contribute to financial planning initiatives and strategic decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial information. Assist in conducting financial analysis to evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and business performance metrics.



Qualifications

Job specific qualification:

 

  • Advanced education in accounting/finance/controlling (e.g. degree in business administration at university/university of applied science)
  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting and accounting department, preferably in the sector of plant construction and capital goods industry
  • High expertise in month-end closing procedures
  • Flexible, communicative, resilient

Competence in working methods:

  • Good knowledge of ERP systems, reporting tools (e.g. Tagetik) and Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel) and Power BI
  • Good language skills in English; any other “HZI language” is a plus (like German, French, Slovak, Russian, Swedish, Turkish,…)
  • Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Experience in local General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the countries HZI is present and is to cover
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently draw conclusions
