Job Description

The overall target of the position:

The (Junior) Tax Manager will be part of our Group Tax team and will support the further growth of the Hitachi Zosen Inova Group. You will work closely with the Global Tax Director and other members of the Group Tax team and perform various tax tasks, including tax research, (tax) project management, and inhouse tax advice.

Due to the nature of our business, you will be able to experience the full tax spectrum from corporate tax and transfer pricing, income tax and indirect taxes and customs.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide tax research and analysis to support our international plant construction projects, operation & maintenance contracts, and (large) service projects of the Group
  • Support the Group Tax team providing tax input on changing business models and setups for the various business units;
  • Review and advice on tax aspects of mergers & acquisitions (M&A), supporting in tax due diligence process
  • Review and advice on tax aspects in establishing new entities and branches in foreign jurisdictions
  • Supporting the Group Tax team with the implementation and maintenance of Group Tax Control Framework
  • Support on various operational tax topics, like Country-by-Country Reporting, preparing Local Files, on Year-End TP adjustments;
  • Support on tax controversy and tax audits globally
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for senior management.
  • Prepare and support to provide tax trainings for non-tax stakeholders within the organisation

 



Qualifications

Job specific qualification:

  • International corporate tax and indirect tax knowledge developed from relevant professional experience
  • Some basic knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS / Swiss GAAP),
  • Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience in comparable function in the energy, construction, manufacturing or in similar industry
