Job Description

  • Engineering and execution of the Distributed Control System (DCS) for Energy from Waste (EfW) plants
  • DCS software application development for Energy from Waste (EfW) Plants
  • Configuration of Network Devices (Managed Switches, Routers, Firewalls)
  • Initial setup and configuration of industrial PC’s
  • Factory Acceptance Testing of DCS Hardware and Software including Safety Instrumented Systems
  • Commissioning of DCS systems for Energy from Waste (EfW) plants, both on site and remote
  • Design and coordination of IT/OT interface for EfW plants
  • Interface coordination and collaboration with other project team members and package unit suppliers
  • Continuous improvement on DCS templates, templates, typicals
  • Support of tendering and commissioning team
  • Willingness to travel approx. 20%


Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in DCS Software Application development, preferably in power plant applications
  • Experience in engineering, software application development and troubleshooting of Distributed Control Systems
  • Good knowledge of IT and various bus communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, ModbusTCP, IEC104, OPC)
  • Functional Safety Engineer certificate is an advantage
  • Cyber Security Engineer certificate is an advantage
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach, ability to make decisions
  • Ability to work under stress
  • Fluency in English, German and other languages are an advantage
  • Commissioning and operational experience is an advantage
  • Good MS Office user knowledge
  • Very good knowledge of Siemens PCS7 and TIA Portal
  • Knowledge of Comos is an advantage
  • High degree of understanding of quality assurance
