Job Description

The overall target of the position:

The Logistics and Transport Specialist will be part of our Logistics Team in Levice which supports all HZI entities with their transport enquiries. During delivery of RG and turn key projects the Logistics and Transport Specialist will be a part of the project team and responsible for organizing and coordinating all transports from suppliers to site in accordance with the defined transport strategy.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Day to day transportations and logistics organization including issue RFQs
  • Selection of logistics partners and negotiate transport costs
  • Attending project and logistics meetings
  • Clarifying any customs issues related to the transport
  • Ensure effectiveness and efficiency throughout the logistics process across the supply chain
  • Participate in developing related procedures and process improvements within the logistics team
  • Support the department in achieving objectives
  • Provide budgeting and forecast for upcoming projects

 



Qualifications

Job specific qualification:

  • Substantial work experience with at least 3-5 years of international transport and logistics, a good buyer track record is a plus.
  • Experience with ocean freight - advantage
  • Higher education in transport, logistics or supply chain management
  • Know-how of warehouse processes and set up a plus
  • Good understanding of international transport, customs and international trade process
  • Knowledge of a project management environment
  • Know-how of logistics and transports KPIs and market requirement in Asia, Europe and Americas
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in multi-functional teams within policies, regulations and rules
  • Ability to communicate with different stakeholders and on all management levels
  • Multicultural experience with excellent English skills
  • Competence and ability to take decisions within the frame defined by company processes
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel) and project IT tools
