Senior Global Accountant – IFRS Specialist

We are looking for an experienced accountant with strong IFRS background, who wants to further expand his/her knowledge. The position offers an opportunity to work with accounting teams and participate on ESET Campus project from an accounting perspective.

Job description & responsibilities on this position:

• participation on preparation and review of the separate closing processes according SAS and IFRS
• supervising accounting processes of ESET SK and ESET Foundation in terms of accuracy and coherence
• IFRS knowledge with focus on fixed assets is an advantage
• production of the analytical review of the separate financial statements
• production of the monthly separate financial reports according to SAS and IFRS
• participation on preparation of the statutory year end separate accounts under IFRS
• guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, enforcing and improving Local accounting policies and procedures of the Company based on close cooperation with Group global accounting team
• update of Local Policies & Procedures in accordance with the IFRS requirements and Group Policies & Procedures
• preparation and support in developing consistent Local and Group accounting standards
• supporting and advising local accounting department on accounting related issues under SAS and IFRS
• review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures in cooperation with other financial teams
• cooperation with the external Group auditors and Accounting consultants
• participation in ad-hoc projects accounting (and tax) related

Our expectations from new colleague:

• university degree or diploma in Finance and Accounting
• an additional accounting certification, e.g. ACCA, is preferred (part or fully qualified)
• fluency in English is a must
• minimum 4 years of experience in IFRS accounting
• computer literate with advanced Excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles
• strong analytical, numerical skills and attention to detail
• strong sense of responsibility and organization of work, time management skills
• attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands on approach
• lots of energy and motivation
• prepared to work some overtime hours during specific periods of the accounting cycle

It's awesome, but not required, if you have:

• experience in group reporting process for an international group
• experience from international Audit/Tax environment
• experience with global accounting software, group reporting systems and its implementation
