The IT Demand Manager is single point of contact for business stakeholders and primarily responsible for consolidation and planning business requirements in IT Department. Provide support with business requirement definition and cross-organizational alignment with business architecture and strategic goals.

• Manages the requirements management process including involvement of all stakeholders
• Prioritization of the demand pipeline and requirements and coordination of the decision process
• Provide support with defining business requirements in specific domains
• Enterprise structuring in terms of its governance structure, business processes and business information
• Contributing to the mutual understanding between business and IT by acting as intermediary function between business and (service) development
• Cooperate with other team members on IT Governance strategic activities

Requirements for the employee

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

Hard Skills:
• 5+ years of work experience, especially in the area of IT and business architecture
• Experience in IT service management and IT demand management
• The ability to apply architectural principles, methods, and tools to business challenges
• Experience with change management
• Experience with ITIL, Prince 2, PMI, Lean, Agile, Kaizen is a plus
• Experience with financial analysis and budgeting is a plus.
• Fluency in business and technical English is required.

Soft Skills:
• Structured, systematic and analytical thinking.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Flexibility, reliability, responsible approach.
• Excellent communication skills, self-reliance, self-confidence.
• Ability to discuss issues with technical developers as well as business managers.

Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.

What started as the brainchild of a few friends has evolved into the most valuable international brand of any Slovak company. Today ESET’s NOD32 technology protects over 100 million users across the world.

This success did not come overnight. The company’s global success and growth was given a boost in 1998 with its first “VB100” award from the prestigious Virus Bulletin magazine. Since then, we’ve received this accolade more than 100 times.

Today, over 1,400 employees around the world drive the company’s success – a telling increase from 3 in 1987 and 135 in 2006. Almost 700 of them are based in Slovakia, the home of ESET headquarters.
