Audit lead - Internal Controls Manager

Join our growing Internal Controls System team at Deutsche Telekom as an Internal Controls Manager/Auditor based in Slovakia or Czech Republic.
Our team is responsible for the ICS (Internal Control System) process for the Deutsche Telekom Group. We support all Group companies in implementing efficient, modern and automated control processes. You will be part of a newly established Internal Controls Audit Team with primary responsibility to conduct international audits on the appropriateness of the control design and the effectiveness of internal controls in financial reporting. This involves as well defining Group-wide design standards and developing best practice control sets to increase the efficiency of the ICS. Information
about the position

As Internal Controls Lead Auditor, you will be responsible for steering, conducting, reporting and quality assurance of international audits of financial reporting controls. You will develop methods and tools for end-to-end audits with the aim of checking whether local controls cover the relevant financial reporting risks and are compliant with the Group-wide design standards. You will ensure the success of the audits by coordinating the identification and follow-up of recommendations for action and ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the interface partners. You will plan and manage the group-wide, cross-company clustering of internal controls, provide methodological guidance for the development of best practice control sets and create a multi-year audit program. You coordinate and manage the further development of audit instruments, tool support, reporting and audit processes and standards. You will develop strategies to take account of current accounting and auditing trends in your area of activity.

Other responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for carrying out complex risk analyses of ICS-relevant processes and systems with a focus on financial reporting as well as overarching coordination with interface partners to identify accounting risks and define key controls
• You will be responsible for optimizing the quality and efficiency of communication in the ICS process in collaboration with top management and the corporate bodies involved
• You will manage the implementation of ICS process and digitalization initiatives of the ICS Group for the segment under your responsibility and take into account current legal and regulatory framework conditions as well as current trends (external studies/benchmarks)
• You will be responsible for preparing strategic decision papers for top management
• You will be responsible for setting up and further developing the internal ICS reporting system
• You will manage strategic projects

The salary for this position is from 2500 EUR gross. The published salary is the minimum possible offer.
The starting salary may be higher depending on the extent of fulfillment of the employee's requirements (education, language skills, required practice, personality assumptions and skills).

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

Greek - Upper intermediate (B2) or Hungarian - Upper intermediate (B2) or German - Upper intermediate (B2) or Czech - Upper intermediate (B2) or English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• Degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance and an internationally recognized certification (e.g. ACCA, Certified IFRS Accountant, Certified Management Accountant).
• Profound accounting and auditing knowledge with multiple years of experience the field of international acounting
• You have excellent knowledge and many years of experience in the areas of auditing, internal auditing or internal controls and have a corresponding certification (e.g. CIA, CRMA).
• If necessary, you can contribute special knowledge and experience in the areas of IT controls, IT audits or IT security standards.
• Fluent English plus one European language (German, Greek, Czech, Hungarian)
• Ability to manage, coordinate and evaluate the work of others
• Team player, enjoy working internationally and have experience in managing international projects and/or teams
• Risk-oriented thinking, precision, professional scepticism, effective communication, mobility
• Excellent and clear communication towards team members, internal customers and Management
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with a new process environment.,
• Experience with telecommunication industry is a plus

Language: fluent English (C1) plus one international language at least B2 level (Greek, Hungarian, German, Czech)
