about the position
Purpose of the job: Support and developing automatized and BI solutions for Plan To Execute processes and complex activities for companies within Deutsche Telekom Group,
mainly delivery of BI solutions to managers and other internal customers in area of finance and controlling and daily support of data delivery in environment built on BI technologies.
Job content:
• Developing and delivering automated processes and supporting other developers in delivery of automated solutions for reporting.
• Building reports and dashboards within BI Technologies.
• Supporting backend and frontend activities in order to create dashboards in Power BI / MicroStrategy.
• Identification of the most suitable data sources and database interfaces.
• Creating relational data models and/or data cubes (big data processing), query design for various Business Intelligence solutions.
• Working on change requests to adjust existing automated solutions.
• Idetify performance improvement possibilities.
• Developing further data including aliases, mapping tables or predictive analysis.
• Supporting in data retrieving process from systems.
• Setting and regularly reviewing process documentation.
• Reporting issues, breaks, risks, improvements to Team Leader.

Education/most relevant experience:
• University education in Economics/ Information Technology (ideally with focus on subject matter)
This position is for part-time, suitable also for university students.
• Experience with scripting, automation and BI solutions (MS Power BI / MicroStrategy / SAP Analytical Cloud / Qlik Sense, Query design tools for SAP BW - BEX Designer / SAP Hana Studio / CITRIX, other) - advantage
Language knowledge:
English – fluent
German – beneficial
PC skills:
• Very good working knowledge of IT system environments
• Basic knowledge of operating systems
• Database operations (e.g.MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle incl. connections to DB, backup and restore procedures, SQL client, T-SQL) - advantage
• HW infrastructure interfaces, system analysis – advantage
Other skills:
• Proactive, structured and independent work approach
• Active experience and delivery of excel macros, Visual Basic scripts or other configuration/scripting type technology - advantage
• Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution
• Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience;
• Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
• Process oriented
• High attitude towards quality and accurateness
• Strong sense of responsibility
