Senior Network Engineer (Juniper JUNOS and Cisco IOS)

1 850 EUR/monthFinal salary is negotiable. We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1850€ /brutto.

Suitable candidate will work in Network Engineering Service Delivery – SAND1-nIMS. This may be related to Operation of NIMS cloud platform, Incident and Change management. It also contains tasks as In-depth troubleshooting and rollout of new SW on devices.
Participation on migration to Cloud Platform,. Working on Cisco devices, Fortinet firewall and hardware load balancers. Member of virtual team.
What will you do?
- You will propose and perform regular inspections and improvement recommendations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex tickets or escalate complex tickets with direct/potential impact related to IT infrastructure.
- Evaluate, authorize, prioritize, plan, test, implement, document and review complex changes in controlled manner or escalate to higher authority.
- Assess actual performance of IT infrastructure against its predicted performance. Any deviations between the two should be understood and proactively remediated, with vendors if necessary.
- Serve as technical lead to provide clear and comprehensive release and deployment plans and to assure delivery of the service in critical situations.
- Deliver effective training plans and concepts to train other employees and ensure their fulfillment.
- Implement new technologies/services or upgrades to existing technologies.
You will succeed if you:
- Speak English at least on upper intermediate (B2) level. German language is an advantage.
- Have professional experience of at least 5 years in the field and have master´s degree in information technologies.
Skill that are required:
- Juniper JUNOS (QFX,MX,SRX) - required
- Cisco IOS-XR/NX-OS (comparable to CCNP) - required
- Very good knowledge and experience of techniques such as VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, OSPF - required.
- Troubleshooting and monitoring with tools such as WireShark and Netscout - required.
Skill that are nice to have:
- Fortinet Fortigate - advantage
- Radware - advantage
- Experience in dealing with CI/CD workflows (merge request, pipelining) - advantage
- Good knowledge and experience with programming languages such as Python, Ansible: Contrail, Contrail Cloud, Contrail vRouter - advantage
- Linux (Red Hat) - advantage
- Analytical thinking / experience with tools such as Kibana, Grafana, Elastic Search, Anritsu, Zabbix - advantage.
