From 2 000 EUR/monthFinal salary is negotiable. We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 2000 € /brutto.

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is like the master conductor of a fast-paced software development orchestra. They ensure that all the teams within a release train are in sync and working towards a common goal- the smooth delivery of software releases. They are the problem-solvers who remove roadblocks, foster collaboration, and keep everyone on track, ensuring that the train keeps moving forward with efficiency and precision.

What will you do?

  • Facilitate the end-to-end agile release processes, ensuring efficient coordination and synchronization across Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Facilitate ART events such as PI (Program Increment) Planning, System Demos, Inspect and Adapt Workshops, and Scrum of Scrums, ensuring effective communication and alignment across teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Development teams to define and prioritize program backlogs, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including business leaders and technical teams, to foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
  • Identify and remove impediments and roadblocks that hinder the progress of agile teams, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Act as a servant leader, coaching and mentoring teams on Agile principles, methodologies, and modern technology practices.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements and optimization.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and advocate for their adoption within the organization.

You will succeed if you:

  • Hold Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Have proven experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or in a similar role, facilitating Agile processes and driving successful software releases
  • Have strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum) and experience working within Agile frameworks.
  • Are familiar with modern software development practices, DevOps principles, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Have strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and delivering business value.
  • Hold certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe RTE, CSM, PSM) is highly desirable.
  • Speak English at least at C1 level (excellent written and verbal communication). Knowledge of German is a big advantage.
