Job description, responsibilities and duties

You will have strategic responsabilities:

  • Manage plant Safety & Health compliance with all applicable international / local / legal / Bekaert norms
  • Ensure effective and regulatory compliant Health & Safety  System Management and effective continuous Health & Safety   improvement & application of Best Practice on site
  • Support site implementation of the Health & Safety  Standards, Procedures and Best Practice in combination / compliance to legal requirements
  • Perform Health & Safety  compliance evaluation & supervision, facilitate Health & Safety  communication & training on site
  • Development of the " Health & Safety  Culture"
  • Ensure the integrative execution of the SHE (budget and action) plan (X+1/X+3) in the context of, and in compliance with the site applicable Health & Safety  regulations
  • Identify, manage (investigate) and mitigate SHE related risk/ impact in correspondence with legal requirements
  • Ensure accurate, & timely SHE reporting, investigation of incidents, actions/prevention and follow up including trend analysis, root cause determination

 

Your key tasks will be:

  • Monitor and coordinate the implementation of applicable regulatory & Bekaert Health & Safety  requirements and best practices on site. Coordinate Health & Safety  regulatory & compliance communication. Manage compliance issues in support of the respective management.
  • Manage effective Health & Safety  risk & impact assessment in the context of the regulatory environment.
  • Support plant management to manage & track plant Health & Safety  programs, emergency preparedness, compliance & Health & Safety  target achievement. Internal and external Health & Safety  communication & reporting.
  • Provide or arrange professional Health & Safety  consultancy, supervision, training, plant implementation support & review - full adherence to legal requirements and Bekaert standards on site.
  • Manage & coordinate site compliance evaluation. Perform Health & Safety  Audits. Assist plant management  to rapidly close gaps. Facilitate continuous improvement, application of Best Practice & prevention.
  • Manage timely in between plants, group SHE and Country SHE collaboration and communication.
