What does working as a Big Data Cluster Specialist entail?
Your job will be to run and optimize multiple Hadoop clusters, rule over hundreds of servers, thousands of CPU cores, and petabytes of data. Work with the newest Big Data technologies.
Ensure cluster availability, fix issues if any occur. Reconfigure as needed to adapt to changing workloads. Update to newer SW releases to get important features.
Your work will support numerous technical teams, such as Malware Analysis, who load data into our Hadoop clusters and later run various jobs and queries.
You will be a member of the Linux Systems Team, which administers Linux-based servers throughout the company,
and you’ll be cooperating closely with the users of existing Hadoop clusters.
Most of the Hadoop ecosystem is managed via Cloudera Manager and Ansible.
Technologies used
Hadoop. Hive, Spark, Zookeeper, Yarn. Linux, of course, and Ansible.
