Purpose of the job: The Data Scientist is part of the „A-Team“ (Automation team) in the Service Line Customer Finance International and responsible for Analysis and evaluation of complex data sets using Advanced Analytics methods on current data platforms, development of specifications for the provision and determination of data for logical data models and structures. On top of that the development of data models and control of model implementations are in your scope.
Job content:
• Analysing, assessing, and evaluating data structures and processes; developing viable and effective data models
• Using machine learning techniques to integrate analysis results into specific solutions and business processes for the A-Team in the Customer Finance Service Line
• Conduct and support cost case preparation and being involved in techno-economic evaluations
• Applying data transformation techniques: for example, handling data enrichment, blending, and expansion; filtering; and consolidation in the task area
• Devising and presenting decision making proposals and recommended courses of action
• Being involved in the development of specific assessment and steering tools for various data sources to provide the data records required
• Responsible for developing and delivering automated processes
The salary for this position is from 1800 gross.
The published salary is the minimum possible offer. The starting salary may be higher depending on the extent of fulfillment of the employee's requirements (education, language skills, required practice, personality assumptions and skills).

Education:
University degree (Master’s or PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field.
Experience:
• 2-5 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models
• Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, R, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets is a must
• Experience working with and creating data architectures
• Active experience and delivery of Python scripts, Visual Basic Scripts, excel macros or other configuration/scripting type technology
• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
• Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using e.g. Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, Celonis etc.
• Experience as a member of agile projects; international projects experience is beneficial
• Ideally experience with shared services
• Experience with JIRA beneficial
Language knowledge: English (fluent) and German (beneficial)

• Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
