Job description, responsibilities and duties

For our client, a leading international fashion retail chain, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Store Department Manager for its store in Bratislava. An ideal candidate is a dynamic and well organized person who is keen on fashion and enjoys working with people.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the assigned department of the store in terms of revenue and team responsibility
  • Participating in training, leading and motivating his / her team
  • Allocating substantial time for working on the shop floor, interacting with clients, getting their feedback and handling complains
  • Implementation of visual merchandising programs and discounts according to the inputs of the headquarters
  • Involvement in the purchasing process in terms of giving feedback to the centralized purchasing department, regarding the market-specific customer requirements in order to enable the fine tuning of the assortment
  • Running sales analyses on a regular basis in order to be able to adjust the stock level in terms of fast- and slow-moving garments
  • Planning of the appropriate working schedule for his / her team
  • Keeping the company `s standards in sales and client services

Background of the ideal candidate

  • Preferably university studies combined with experience in a Coordination / Team Leader position in a service-oriented segment; optimally from fashion retail
  • Position is also suitable for a fresh graduate with an intetion to develop his/her career in fashion retail, previous experience in retail are welcomed
  • Experience in team management
  • Solid overview on the fashion retail market, competitors and the general lifestyle environment
  • Highly professional appearance combined with in-depth social and communication skills and team orientation
  • Dynamic personality, having initiative, self-awareness and strong client orientation
  • Passionate about fashion and style but still a practical, business oriented and operational person
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Good understanding of visual merchandising concepts
  • Able to find solutions and make quick decisions and adjustments
  • Excellent Knowledge of German or English Language
