Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our client is an international specialty pharmaceutical company dedicated to innovative products. The client is searching for a controlling expert who will focus on subsidiaries in Eastern Europe. His / her role will be to make an effective bridge between business and finance, between the regional and local management, making sure the top management has got accurate and up to date information about sales in our region, segmented with clear strategy suggestions. The position is based in Italy with some frequent travelling required.

Position in the Organization: Expert, reports to Corporate Controller and Corporate CFO

Responsibilities:
• Manage regular revenues, margins and costs analysis for the assigned region/business, focusing on more relevant performance drivers;
• Support Regional Director and Finance team in the preparation of Regional business plans;
• Support Regional Director in the analysis required for the preparation of the Operations Committee and Budget reviews;
• Participate to the implementation of regional projects such as local trading, business synergies, cross promotion of products, new acquisitions;
• Build a regional view of the business that can help the identification of potential issues and opportunities and synergies in the P&L;
• Train the local Finance teams in the implementation on corporate guidelines and directives;
• Support Group Controlling in the harmonization of the “financial language” across the subsidiaries;
• Fine-tune analysis methodology and consolidate the practices at a regional level;
• Provide analytical and technical support to the subsidiary in the financial education of the local departments.

Competence / Knowledge / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong accounting and controlling background (app 5 years) gained on national and/or international level, including some years (3-5) in business controlling
• Fluent in English and Russian (spoken and written)
• Another European language would be an advantage
• Proactive
• Computer literate (Excel and ERP)
• Good communication skills

• Ability to travel to different locations
